Limitations
- Standard widgets show rating + review count only (no review text). This keeps them lightweight and fast.
- Showcase variant shows full review text only for reviews where the reviewer has given consent.
- Stars in Google search results (rich snippets) are NOT guaranteed. Google decides whether to display them based on their own criteria.
FAQ
Will the widget add structured data (rich results) to my site?
The widget includes LocalBusiness structured data with your rating. However, Google decides whether to show stars in search results — it's not guaranteed regardless of implementation.
How does consent work for showing review text?
Standard widgets show rating + count only. The Showcase variant can display full review text, but only for reviews where the reviewer has opted in through Google's terms. We don't display text without consent.
Do I need to validate my domain?
Yes. You add your website domain in the widget settings. The widget only renders on validated domains to prevent unauthorized embedding.
Is there a WordPress plugin?
Yes. We offer a WordPress plugin that simplifies installation — no code pasting required. It's available for all plans at /wordpress.
